1. Scope
This policy covers the public Climb Up Now website. It does not govern schools, youth organisations, outdoor providers or websites reached through external links.
2. Data we do not collect
The production package is static and has no account system, database, analytics service, advertising pixel or form endpoint. Demonstration forms validate in your browser, display a local message and clear. They do not transmit or store the entered content.
3. Local storage
The site stores one browser-local value after you accept the cookie notice. It records the choice only, not an identity. You can remove it through browser storage controls.
4. Server logs
A hosting provider may create technical access logs such as IP address, request time, requested path and user agent for security and delivery. Retention and lawful basis depend on the selected host and must be documented by the operator before launch.
5. Young people
Do not enter a young person's name, contact details, medical information, location, safeguarding information or identifiable story into this website. Responsible organisations should use approved secure systems and their own privacy notices.
6. External resources
Fonts and any linked third-party resources may involve a request to their provider. Operators can self-host fonts before deployment if their privacy model requires it. External sites apply their own policies.
7. Legal rights
Depending on location and the final hosting arrangement, individuals may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing. The deployed operator must publish a working contact method for exercising applicable rights.
8. Security
No website is immune from risk. Keep hosting software current, use HTTPS, minimise logs, restrict administration access and never collect sensitive youth information without a properly designed system and lawful process.
9. Retention
This static build retains no form submissions. The cookie-choice value remains in the browser until removed. A future operator must define retention periods for any services added later.
10. Changes
Material changes to collection or hosting require an updated policy before those features are enabled. The effective date of this version is 18 September 2026.
