Why this resource exists
Climb Up Now is an independent educational resource about thoughtful outdoor learning with young people. The name describes a learning rhythm: notice the situation, prepare carefully, try an appropriate challenge, reflect and share what is useful.
What we publish
Our guides focus on planning, participation, communication, entry-level navigation concepts and reflection. They favour modest local settings, explicit boundaries and challenge by choice. We do not present invented expeditions, participant stories, awards, partner organisations or impact statistics.
What we do not provide
This website does not provide emergency response, medical advice, mental-health treatment, formal safeguarding advice, site-specific risk assessments or technical instruction for climbing, water, winter or high-risk activities. Organisations and responsible adults must use applicable law, policy, training, qualified providers and current local information.
Editorial approach
Pages distinguish educational prompts from decisions that belong to trained responsible adults. We avoid publishing identifiable youth stories and do not use testimonials. Material is reviewed for clear scope, practical sequencing, inclusive language and the principle that turning back or choosing an alternative can be competent outdoor judgement.
